Ana Ruiz
I love to help students learn and grow. I also love helping students explore themes in creative ways! I want to help all students succeed by giving them a meaningful and challenging education experience. I am thrilled to work with the third grade team this year!
I have a double license in K-12 ESL and K-12 Visual Art. I am currently in the Masters of Arts in ESL program at Hamline University. I have taught Art for one year in St. Paul and taught EL for three years in Thailand and Japan. I am very passionate about culture and helping students succeed in innovative and creative ways!
I love traveling, hiking, painting, and dance! I had a wonderful experience teaching in Thailand for one year and Japan for two years. I explored a lot of Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia and miss the heat, people, and som tom prik neung! In Japan I had a fabulous time hiking and was able to climb Mount Fuji twice! Since I’ve moved back to Minnesota, I enjoy riding my bike around the lakes. I am also engaged and am planning a wedding in Mexico!
