I love working with people! I am teaching because I want everyone to feel like they can participate and belong in this world. I feel especially skilled at discovering how to connect those with different brains to the community at large, to their families, and to their environments. I like to find new ways of doing things. I like to learn from my students.
I have a B.A. in Information Management and a Masters of Science in Special Education. I have licenses in Emotional Behavior Disorders and Learning Disabilities. I have lived in Bemidji, MN; Minneapolis; St. Paul; Olympia, Washington; St. Louis Park, MN; and Oakland, CA. I can sing, dance, play the clarinet, choreograph dances, and use the computer productively in most situations. I enjoy going to meetings and I look forward to working collaboratively and cooperatively with everyone.
I have a husband named Howard who owns and runs a DJ business called Total Entertainment/Kidsdance. I have a 17 year old daughter named Lily who goes to Main Street School of Performing Arts in Hopkins. We have a big golden retriever named Casey, two cats, and a goldfish. My main pets are birds; I have a dove, two lovebirds, and finches. Sometimes I go out to parties with Howard and I love to dance. We also enjoy spending time at the lake. Any lake.
