Autobiographies Finished! NWEA Round 2 coming up!
Thursday, October 27, 2011 - 8:45am
Hello middle schoolers and families!  Well done everyone for working hard and turning in your Autobiographies!  I have been reading through them and have been very impressed with some of your writing, but a lot of us still have a long way to go!  Remember that if you are unsure how to spell a word you need to look it up in a dictionary or on the computer. Our classroom has computer and dictionaries if you don't have them at home. On November 8th and 9th we will have another...

Don't forget that our autobiographies are due on October 24th, the day we get back from the long weekend! You need to turn in the following when you turn in your final draft: 1. Prewrite 2. First Draft 3. Revision's 4. Editing sheet 5. Final Draft Also remember that we are adding lots of adjectives and adverbs to our writing to help paint the picture of our lives! Welcome Middle Schoolers!
Wednesday, September 7, 2011 - 8:45pm
Hello, and welcome to the 2011-2012 School year at Noble Academy!  I'm very excited about the upcoming school year.  If you have any questions about anything feel free to call me at the school or write me an email.  We are going to work hard to develop a sense of Non-Fiction writing this year, but don't expect to just copy down the encyclopedia! Non-Fiction writing can be fun and creative, especially when you write about things you enjoy.  So I ask you to find out your...

Life skills are important. I enjoy giving students these life skills in order to be strong, contributing members of society.  It's such a rewarding feeling knowing that I am directly responsible for the success of each and every student that comes through my classroom.  Hopefully I can give these students the skills they need to thrive in this world.

I graduated in December 2010 from the University of Northern Iowa after completing my student teaching in Sydney, Australia.  I bring the skills I learned here as well as the skills I gained last year as a long term substitute teacher here at Noble.  I got a head start learning all about the students last year and I'm excited to jump in this year at an accelerated pace.

I enjoy being active by hiking, camping and playing basketball.  In my downtime I really get into TV shows, and movies from Netflix, listening to Podcasts online, and the occasional video game.
