Wow! We are already beginning our third trimester of the 2011-2012 school year!  For the past few weeks we have been working on a weather unit in reading and science.  We have been talking about the different seasons and the weather that they each bring.  In math we are working on multiple-digit multiplication as well as lines, line segments, rays, and points.  As we begin our third trimester we will begin our unit on life cycles and animals in science and reading. In math...
Winter Field Trip
Thursday, January 26, 2012 - 10:41am
The third grade classes took a field trip to Mill City Museum on Friday, January 20.  There we learned about the history of Minneapolis and the old flour mill that the Mill City Museum was built in.  The students went on a scavenger hunt to find artifacts and learn about each item.  They watched a movie called "Minneapolis in 19" that gave the history of the town of Minneapolis in 19 minutes.  One of the favorite parts of the field trip was riding in the old elevator to the...

I'm glad to be back, hope you are too. I hope that your break was fun and relaxing. There's still much to do this school year, and we jumped in with both feet this first week back. In Language Arts we learned about fantasy versus realism, and reviewed context clues and possessive nouns. The skills we reviewed in Math included multi-digit multiplication and place value. We also started division of mulit-digit numerals. Next week we will focus on place values and talk about decimals. We will also...

3rd Grade
1

I am a teacher because I believe every child has the potential to become a life-long learner. My goal is to help students find their strengths and fortify their weaknesses each day through interesting lessons and real-life situations. I want each student to enjoy learning as much as I do.

I will bring an enthusiastic approach to learning and encourage positive attitudes both in and out of the classroom. My goal is to help students become successful learners in all subject areas with an emphasis on phonics and reading. As students become confident in reading their confidence will grow as a learner in all subjects.

Some of my favorite things to do include: being with family and friends, reading, being outdoors, and traveling. I enjoy snowboarding and snowmobiling in the winter and love to be at the lake in the summer. I have had many opportunities to see new places while traveling with my fiancé as he moves around the Midwestern states showing his semi truck and racing stock cars. I embrace life to the fullest. I love meeting new people and enjoy learning something new. I look forward to my new adventure at Noble Academy!
