Local Literacy Plan

At Noble Academy, we are dedicated to offering a comprehensive approach to reading instruction. With a significant number of English Language (EL) learners and students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, we understand the importance of equipping our students with the essential life skill of not only reading, but also comprehending and critically analyzing the material. Our focus is on ensuring that students achieve grade level reading proficiency right from Kindergarten to prevent any academic setbacks. While we recognize the significance of foundational skills such as phonemic awareness and direct vocabulary instruction, we also prioritize guiding students to derive meaning from their reading and comprehend the world around them.
